Conspiracy Theories

Conspiracy Theories

I

a siege of frangipani
or a kiss

an incense assault
or transcendence

threatened by foliage
pierced by dawn

vanilla is a poison
and you’re a killer
undressed

II

planes slowly
find Bali

smoke tears away
to meet the sky

fireworks prick
the night too soon

the sun isn’t dead
and can hold out for longer
they say

III

fuchsia nail polish
outlives you

fish take your flesh
out of the way

the tide unties
your last great idea
what were you thinking?
